BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,17TH JULY 2017-The Jubilee party and the National Super Alliance NASA continue with their elections campaigns today Monday 17th July in different parts of the country with less than 25 days to elections. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto will campaign at the Coast while the National Super Alliance goes for Homa Bay.
Jubilee will campaign in Tana River ,Lamu, and Kilifi while NASA will hold a series of “mini-rallies” in Homa Bay in two teams before they come together for the main rally at Homa Bay Stadium.
On Sunday President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto toured Mombasa County on a vote hunt where they urged residents to reject propaganda being fueled by the opposition NASA on land.The president refuted claims that Jubilee was in need of the land of the coastal People .He cited the issuance of title deeds to the thousands of people of Likoni Constituency who lived as squatters for many decades saying nobody was in need of taking land.The Head of State, who spoke when he addressed a Jubilee rally at Jomvu, said no one will become a hero by insulting other leaders.
On the other hand NASA brigade was at various areas of Nyamira county where they accused Jubilee of failing to fight corruption.They also asked residents to vote for them in the August 8 elections promising to lower cost of living within a hundred days of being in office.They further said the Jubilee government had failed to deliver on its 2013 promises only clinging on the projects established under the grand coalaition government.
