Curtains come down on IAAF World U18 championships in Nairobi as Kenya finishes position 4.

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,16TH JULY 2017-Kenya has managed to finish in position four in the  just concluded IAAF world  under 18  championships in Nairobi.Jackline Wambui  closed  Kenyans gold medal  harvest on the last day of the championships Sunday after she won the girls 800m Final at Moi sports center  Kasarani .

Earlier Leonard Kipkemboi won gold in 200 meters boys with Cleopa Kandie taking home Silver medal for Kenya.Another Kenyan athlete Edward Zachayo made the country proud after wining silver in 300 meters boy race.

Kenya finished in position 4 with a total of 15 medals 4gold,7 silver and 4 Bronze

IAAF World U18 Championships is a global athletics event comprising track & field events for competitors who are 17 or younger. The event is organized by (IAAF).The kasarani edition was the last one to be held after IAAF decided to end the category.
