BY SAMSON MBII,NAIROBI,11TH JULY 2017-Kenya Premier League side Gor Mahia has arrived in Tanzania ahead of their match with EPL club Everton planned for Thursday 13th at Uhuru Stadium in Dares – Salaam .
The Green Army booked the date with the Toffees after clinching their Super Cup title back in June. KoGalo will hope their poor form will back home in the league and Shield tournament will not affect them as they face the historical tie.
Gor Mahia bowed out of the Shield after Bandari defeated them on post match penalties. In the league they have lost to Sofapaka, drawn against Ulinzi all under Zedekiah Otieno who has been in charge of teh team since Jose Marcelo Fereirra exit.
Everton’s new striker Wayne Rooney has expressed his desire to play against the Kenyan side and told the club TV earlier that the Tanzania trip will be very important ahead of the 2017/18 season.
Dylan Kerr is expected to lead Gor mahia in their clash against his England counterparts.
