BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,29TH JUNE,2017-Police have launched investigation into circumstances in which a MT Kenya university student was stabbed to death and his body left on the road in Parklands area, Nairobi.
Police say they found the body of Maxwel Kariuki at the junction of Limuru Road and Prof Wangari Mathai Road with stab wounds in the chest and it is not clear how he was killed.
UPESINEWS.CO.KE has also learned that man was rushed to MP Shah Hospital with similar wounds is currently helping police with investigation to establish if he was involved in the incident.
Preliminary findings show the two may have been attacked in a matatu they were riding in before being thrown out.
Police who rushed to the scene where the body of Kariuki was said they did not recover anything from him. Kariuki was a fourth year law student at the university. Cases of stabbing are on the rise in the city.
Police say thugs use the means to coerce and instill fear. The incident occurs just a week after three people were stabbed to death in an attack in Umoja area in Nairobi.
Police are still persuading the killers who are still at large.
