NASA Manifesto highlights measures to revitalize economy,create an equal society for all

BY NAMULONGO PETER/KORIR JUMA,27TH JUNE,2017-The National Super Alliance NASA  on  the evening of Tuesday 27th  June unveiled its 7 pillar manifesto promising to transform the economy and create a fair,equal and justice Kenyan society for all. The NASA presidential candidate  Raila Odinga together with other co principals took it upon themselves to outline the key areas of the manifesto.With the past injustices still unresolved the coalition promised to set up a justice commission to handle all the past injustices.

At colorful ceremony held at the Ngong racecourse in Nairobi NASA promised to  recall kenyan military officers currently serving in Somalia so as to guard our border points.Better pay for police officers was also not left out with the coalition promising to ensure that the police officers are given better housing as a way of motivating them.

The manifesto identifies corruption as the one of the major challenges to the country’s  economic stability and outlines the measures to curb the vice.”corruption has ruined our country we will deal with corruption”said Odinga.

The NASA manifesto also promises that should they form the next government, all health services will be offered for free from maternity services to the in patient and out patient.

On Education they have said they will train the youth and give them requisite skills for them to be self reliant and be in a position to create jobs  not seekers.

They also promised to remove all hurdles along the way of the various funds such as youth funds and women funds which make it difficult for the same funds to be accessed by the target groups.

With the population of the country growing rapidly the NASA government promises to ensure that all regions are well developed so as to create an enabling environment for growth of urban centers in those rural areas in order  to curb rural urban migration major urban such as  Nairobi in search of jobs  as they can still get jobs wherever they are.

On water the NASA manifesto says it will ensure it invests in water projects that will make it possible for all Kenyans to have clean drinking water in any part of the country.

On Agriculture the NASA manifesto outlines clear steps on how to revive the sector with irrigation and empowering farmers on the list of to do things.They promise to create markets for the produce of

farmers and also built stores in every county that will ensure that food produced in those counties is well stored to be used when it is most needed.

On ICT the manifesto says all teachers to handle the training of digital curriculum will be well trained and equipped to ensure that they deliver a dream of a digital Kenya.

The NASA Manifesto also touches on the continuation of construction of the SGR with their plans Outlining steps that will see it  constructed to pass through Malaba all the way to Rwanda and back.NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga also accused Jubilee of interfering with original plan of the railway which could have seen it get to Kisumu  and instead they plan to have it reach to Naivasha.
