Stop inciting Kenyans,Kenyatta tells Odinga

BY JOHN WERU,16TH JUNE,2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) chief, Raila Odinga,  to stop inciting Kenyans to violence incase ODM leader lost  the August 8, 2017 presidential elections.

The President who was accompanied by Deputy president William Ruto  argued that Raila was treading on the same path he followed when ethnic violence occurred after the December 2007 elections.

Speaking  at Sigor, Bomet Countyon Friday the president , said Raila was using the same statements he used previously and which might harm the unity existing between different communities in the country.

“Yesterday, he was talking about ‘wenye inchi and wenye wanafaa kurudi kwao’ (those who own the land and those who should return to where they came) and that is the same language he used to create conflict the last time,” said the President.

Raila has, however, constantly refuted the claims saying that Jubilee is planning to rig the elections in favour of the incumbent.

The President warned that no acts of violence will be tolerated and those found culpable will  face the full arm of the the law.
