Jubilee party suffers setback after 19 officials decamp to rival parties in Embu

BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,CORRESPONDENT,6TH JUNE,2017-The jubilee party has suffered a major set back ahead of August 8th Elections after 19 of  its  officials  from Embu county  decamped to rival parties .
Officials  says ‘interference from party’s headquarters’ in Pangani Nairobi is the reason behind their decision.
They also claim  that they were sidelined and had no power to run party’s affairs.
The move is seen as a major blow to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto who command a sizable number of votes in the region With  just around two months to  the general elections.
The officials faulted Jubilee for conducting chaotic party primaries and meddling with affairs of the regional office.
