Race to state house officially kicks off as candidates submit papers

Presidential aspirants submit nomination papers to IEBC at KICC-UPESINEWS.

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,28TH MAY 2017-The race to state house has officially kicked off Sunday 28th May 2017 after presidential candidates started  submitting their nomination papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.The first to submit his papers early Sunday was Thirdway Alliance candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot.

Speaking to UPESINEWS.CO.KE  after handing over  his papers to the IEBC at the Kenyatta international convention center in Nairobi,Aukot has expressed confidence that he will trounce all other candidate come August 8th and  provide the much needed  leadership with a change.

He says time has come for Kenyans to also shift their attention to other candidates rather than looking at the traditional  two horse as it has been the case.

The IEBC chair Wafula Chebbukati has wished him well in his plans to capture the coveted seat saying the commission shall do its part in ensuring that all 8 candidates  are treated equally.

The second to submit his papers was alliance for real change candidate Abduba Dida.

National Super Alliance candidate NASA Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka are expected at the KICC in the afternoon to present their papers.

President Uhuru Kenyatta will be presenting his papers Tomorrow Monday 29th May 2017 at 11am.
