BY JOHN WERU/KORIR JUMA,18TH MAY 2017-Just a day after internal security cabinet secretary accused opposition leaders of hypocrisy and their intention to incite Kenyans to violence over their 10 Million strong vote slogan,NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga has responded. Speaking Thursday when he went to confirm whether his details were in the register of voters in Kibra constituency,Odinga termed Nkaiserry utterances as mare talk meant to intimidate the opposition. He says there was nothing wrong by the opposition chanting the slogan as that was the truth and the real situation on the ground.
On Wednesday during the official opening of a three day peace and security conference in Nairobi CS Nkaiserry accused the National Super Alliance NASA and other politicians in the country who in the recent days have resulted to addressing their supporters using slogans of the number of voters they intend to nab in the August Elections.
Nkaiserry said there was no way politicians could mislead Kenyans on the Numbers especially considering that IEBC has come clear on the number of registered voters which stands at 19million.The CS said it was wrong for some political quarters to say that they will get 10 million and 12 million votes.
Raila also urged opposition supporters to come out and check whether they are properly registered so as to make informed decision on election day. Speaking at Old kibera Primary after verifying his details ODM leader asked the Independent Electoral and boundaries commission to ensure a clean voters register going into the August 8TH elections.
