BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,10TH MAY 2017-The independent Electoral and boundaries Commission IEBC has officially launched the register of voters verification exercise that will be undertaken for the next one month starting Thursday 11TH MAY 2017.
Addressing the press at the commission’s head office in Nairobi Wednesday the commission’s chair Wafula chebukati says unlike the previous such exercise where voters were asked to send a short massage to a certain number for verification, this year’s exercise is different.

The voters will be required to visit the center where they registered as voters carrying the document they used to register with such as national identity card or passport .
Chebukati also revealed that the commission has also recruited 21,000 clerks to help carry out the verification exercise.The audit firm KPMG to carry out the exercise.
