IPOA fetes the best policemen and women

BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,5TH MAY 2017-A total of 15 police officers from  different  cadres have been feted  for their exemplary service to the country.In the  awards held by the independent policing oversight Authority IPOA  9 police officers  were awarded  for giving their whole life self to the service of Kenyans  as per the  law.Several police stations in various parts of the  country were feted.

They unclude  Nakuru Central Kiritiri Gamba, Pangani, Matuu, Murang’a and  Salama  were awarded for the most improved  category in service delivery.Other stations among them Kakamega AP Dispensary,Athi river,Port, Parklands and  Butere  were recognized as having put in place the best measures in serving citizens and also maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

Further more Lumakanda police station,Buruburu,Parklands and  Nandi  wre recognized as the best places to remand those  who are required to remain in remand as investigation are completed after they  are suspected   to have gone against the rule of law.

Internal security cabinet secretary  Joseph Nkaissery  who graced the occasion congratulated all those who were feted and urged them to continue   with their good work to the nation.He added that the government will always be ready to offer whatever the support they need to effectively deliver.
