Posta Rangers beat Sony Sugar to go top in KPL

BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,26TH APRIL 2017-The Kenyan Premier League leaders continued with their impressive run with a 1-0 win over hosts SoNy Sugar at the Awendo Stadium.

Both teams played to a goalless draw in the first half but a second goal from substitute Gerald Obwoge ensured that the visitors took all the three points

The game was less tempo as both sides failed to find their feet in the first ten minutes with the only chance coming from Simon Mbugwa who saw his header goes inches wide after connecting Luke Ochieng’s cross before Mbugwa got a free kick that he shot wide.  Posta Rangers got the pace needed and began to push for an opener.

elsewhere  Wycliffe Ochomo’s early strike and subsequent dismissal failed to have an impact as 10 man Kakamega Homeboyz survived Ulinzi Stars’ punishment to  defeat  the Soldiers in Mumias Complex this Wednesday 26 April 2017.

The striker send the hosts to a fifth minute goal turning home Meshack Karani goal. He would however last for a while as he got his marching orders for an allege elbow on Mohammed Hassan a minute to the break.
