BY NAMULONGO PETER ,26TH APRIL 2017-Nairobi senator Mike Sonko who is seeking a Jubilee party ticket to vie for Nairobi Governor faces stiff competition from Peter Kenneth and he feels the party is favoring him.He has said he will ditch the party should he unfairly lose the nominations that kicked off Wednesday, April 26 in Nairobi county.
Speaking after casting his vote at Bidii Primary School in Makadara, Sonko said that should he lose unfairly in the exercise that he has already faulted, he will move on and vie as an independent candidate. “Of course I have to be on the ballot if I unfairly lose the nomination,” Sonko said.

He is contesting for the ticket with Peter Kenneth and Margaret Wanjiru. Kenneth is his closest rival. The senator claimed that his name was missing in the Jubilee register and believes his supporters too are missing from the register and cannot vote.

Sonko has accused the Jubilee party of planning to lock him out in favour of Kenneth. He denied that he will join NASA as he has already participated in the nominations.
his main challenger Peter Keneth cast his vote at Bahati primary school in Nairobi exusding confidence that he will emerge victorious.He however complained bitterly of missing names of his supporters in party register.
