BY KORIR JUMA,CORRESPONDENT,25TH APRIL 2017-An Jubilee MP Peter Keter who has been castigating DP Ruto has scored big in Jubilee nominations . Kipchumba Murkomen too carried the day after registering a win by a sizable margin . Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter is leading with slightly over 19,000 votes with his closest rival, Emmanuel Talam, having garnered at least 6,000 votes.
Keter is defending his seat through a Jubilee ticket despite the fallout with the Jubilee leadership. Jubilee MP who had a major fallout with DP Ruto wins big in nominations Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter . The MP is remembered for attacking the deputy president in an interview with K24 TV where he alleged Ruto is corrupt and should explain the source of immense wealth.
Keter also blasted Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration for failing to deal with corruption. He once moved a motion that sought to impeach former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru over the infamous NYS scandal.
Elsewhere, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, a close ally of Ruto, took the lead from the Monday primaries. Murkomen is defending his seat under the Jubilee party but will face off with former police boss David Kimaiyo should he win.
