Be patient with us we will deliver credible nominations,president kenyatta urges Jubilee supporters

BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,22ND APRIL 2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta  has appealed to supporters of Jubilee supporters to be patient as the party re-organizes fresh nominations.Speaking to the press from state house In Nairobi Saturday accompanied by deputy president William Ruto, the president regretted the move by the party to cancel the exercise which was scheduled to take place in 21 counties across the country on Friday   saying that the party underestimated the number of voters who were suppose to vote saying that initially such  exercises have witnessed  a low turnout a move that may have led to the party printing few copies of ballot papers.

Kenyatta further apologized for the mistake and asked all jubilee supporters to be patient assuring them that the party will pull out credible nominations.He added that the decision to stop the nomination was not so bad after all it served as a lesson to the party leaders and the organizers and that the fresh nominations will be well coordinated.

Uhuru also refuted claims by a section of aspirants that the party leadership had its own preferred candidates in the exercise.He said the responsibility lay with kenyans to elect their preferred   candidates.On Friday Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago had claimed that the deputy president Williamu Rotu was working with his main challenger to deny him a ticket.
