Jubilee party postpones nominations in 11 counties

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,21ST APRIL 2017-The jubilee party has stopped its planned nominations in 11 counties in the country owing to logistical challenges experienced.The challenges which range from late arrival of ballot  papers to the voting stations to missing of voters name into the party and the Independent Electoral and boundaries commission IEBC have made it difficult for the party to continue  with the exercise which was slated to kick off in 21 counties across the country Friday 21ST APRIL 2017.

The affected counties include:Narok,Bomet,Uasin Gishu,Kericho,Nandi,Elgeyo Marakweti,and Baringo among others.Making the announcement at the party headquarters in Nairobi Friday, the party’s secretary general Raphael Tuju says the decision was taken in order to concentrate on the areas that still need to be addressed before the exercise could proceed.

The exercise is now slated for Monday 24TH April 2017.
