BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,20TH APRIL 2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta has strongly warned  politicians against involving  any acts of violence in the ongoing party primaries across the country.

President Kenyatta says any aspirant found engaging in violence will face the full force of the law.

The president says the police officers are under instruction to protect any member of society and their property during this electioneering period and nobody will be allowed to break the law by engaging in acts of hooliganism .
There have been acts of violence reported in various parts of the country since last week when the Orange Democratic Movement Party kicked off its nominations.

President Kenyatta, who addressed a press conference at State House Nairobi, a day to the start of the Jubilee Party nominations, says his party will uphold the highest integrity and democracy standards to ensure the will of the people prevails.

He expressed confidence   that the Jubilee party will hold free and fair nominations insisting that no politicain belonging to the party will be favored but instead the will of the people will be allowed to prevail.

The Head of State insists that he has no preferred candidate for any of the seats including Nairobi, where Senator Mike Sonko is engaged in a bitter gubernatorial contest with former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.
