BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,16TH APRIL 2017-The fate of  three  sitting  MP’s from Western Kenya politically seems to have been sealed  after they lost  in the onging  ODM nomination exercise held in Kakamega County.

The political prospects of Shinyalu’s Sylverse Anami, Butere’s Andrew Toboso and Raphael Otaalo of Lurambi appear bleak, after they failed to secure the party’s ticket even as they each vowed to challenge the outcome on grounds the nominations were not free and fair.

The three politicians  allege  political machinations as the reason for  their defeat.

Incumbent Butere MP Andrew Toboso, was dethroned by Marama West ward MCA Habil Bushuru who secured the ODM ticket.

Stanley Khainga trounced Raphael Otaalo for the Lurambi ODM ticket while Shinyalu’s Sylverse Anami takes an early exit after he was defeated by Justus Kizito Mugali.

The nominations were not without their share of hiccups as in some stations the ballot papers did not arrive on time, while in other stations the exercise did not begin on time.
