Kenya moves 10 places up from position 88 to 78 in the latest FIFA rankings

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,6TH APRIL 2017-Kenya National Football team Harambee Stars   has moved 10 places up from position 88 to 78 after impressing after extending the unbeaten run to 10 matches after a draw to Uganda and a win against DR Congo in the last international break.

The latest rankings puts  kenya  squarely into the group of  top 80  countries.

East Africa

In the East African region, Uganda is still the best ranked side at position 72 followed by Kenya while Rwanda are third (117). Kenya’s AFCON opponents Ethiopia are third in the region and world wide while 124 while Tanzania (135) and Burundi conclude the list.

In Africa, Egypt remain top (19 worldwide) followed by Senegal (30),Cameroon (33), Burkina Faso and Nigeria.

Brazil have overtaken Argentina at the top of the standings while Germany, Chile Columbia complete the top five team in the world.
