Calm returns to Migori after suppoters of several key politicians clashed Sunday night

BY UPESINEWS CORRESPONDENT/MIGORI,3RD APRIL 2017-An easy calm has returned to Migori  after Rowdy youth mainly supporters of several politicians including governor Okoth Obado clashed  on Sunday night. This brought to an end the rally that was to be addressed by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho at the  Migori stadium.
Chaos has broke out in Migori after Hassan Joho, Junet Mohammed and James Orengo arrived in the town, unknown people vandalised the ODM offices, Joho was supposed to officially open an ODM office  in Migori town .

Rowdy youth blocked the convoy of Joho, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Siaya senator James Orengo and his team on their way to the stadium. Police officers were forced to fire teargas canisters to disperse ODM supporters.
Earlier Monday  there was tension in the town after the county government barred Junet Mohamed from using the stadium.
Upesinews has since established that Suna member of parliament  Junnet Mohammed  who is eyeing the gubernatorial seat had intended to use  the rally  to declare his candidature  under an ODM ticket.

Mombasa governor Hassan Joho through a statement send to newsrooms has condemned the events that occurred in migori  saying it was a plot by ODM rivals to  damage the good support that the party enjoys in the region.
