Support Jubilee for your development President Kenyatta urges residents of Taita Taveta county

BY UPESI NEWS REPORTER, TAITA TAVETA,11TH MARCH 2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta  has continued his tour of the coast region Saturday being the second day of the four day toour which begun Thursday.The president  Launched  the upgrade works of the Bura Mission Road to bitumen standard  in Taita Taveta.

Addressing wananchi  the president  said the Upgrade of the  road will open up the region for investors and allow residents to do business efficiently.He said the Jubilee Government is also committed to expanding Voi town by providing funds for the purchase of additional land.

President Kenyatta also Inspected the progress of construction of the Mwatate-Wundanyi Road in Taita Taveta County. He also announched that the government  will also provide funds for the purchase  land for the County headquarters to be moved to Mwatate.,He also called upon the residents to support the jubilee administration saying the oposition leader Raila Odinga thrives on propaganda and deceit.

He castigated  the ODM leader for moving around the country spreading propaganda and divisive politics  which he says adds no value to Kenyans.

The president said the Jubilee administration has achieved a lot in the past four years and pointed out that the achievement is visible to all including the government’s critics.

The president was speaking  in Bura mission and Mwatate trading center ,Taiata taveta county when he launched the rehabilitation of  ther 56k Bura- mghange -weruga-mbale-msau-mtwamagodi Road.

The president also inspected the ksh 2.3billion tarmacking of Voi-Mwatate-Wundanyi Road.

The president asked the people of Taita Taveta to support the government as it plans to improve water provision and also build the county headquarters.

He said the government is the process of initiating sh 30 billion phase two of mzima springs water project which will cater for the residents of Mwatate and Voi areas.President Kenyatta pointed out that the government will also set aside sh 800 million to buy 200 acres of land from Mwatate sisal estate on which it will put up the county headquarters.

On his part deputyt president Wiliam Ruto asked the resisdents of Taiata Taveta to stop gambling with their future  and support   the jubilee party for development.

The deputy president said the Jubilee administration has alreday spent sh 800 million for modern medical equipment in Voi and Taita Taveta respectively.

Taita Taveta Senator Dan Maanzo also announced ditching ODM for the Jubilee party on the same day.

Senator Maanzo told said  had fulfilled its pledges to the residents of Taveta Taveta   and the party is the only vehicle which can guarantee more development in the county.

He told residents not to support parties that have no agenda for them ,and insteead support the Jubilee party.

On Sunday, President Kenyatta will be in Mombasa where he is scheduled to address a rally at Tononoka grounds

On Monday, the President is scheduled to launch the Kinango-Samburu Road and Mariakani-Bamba Road before addressing a rally in Kaloleni.

He will later inspect Moi Airport-Changamwe Road and will later launch the resumption of the Mtongwe Ferry Services.
