Gunners chiefs are steadfast it will be a mutual decision if Wenger stays past this summer when his deal expires. This means the Frenchman must convince the board he can bring future success despite fans calling for his departure. Wenger would like to extend is stay at Emirates but is yet to make a final commitment, even his backroom staff remain clueless on which way his decision will go.
The club’s supporters got furious as their team was humbled at home by Munich in Champions League round of 16 on 10-2 aggregate, and their fury will go further if the club misses out on top four finish and fail to lift the FA Cup. They are concerned he has been reluctant in the past to change his methods or spend big in the transfer market to catch up with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.
Club chiefs maintain that all the parties will decide if the Frenchman remains.
