A three-judge bench led by Lady Justice Martha Koome directed that recognition agreements should be signed with all 47 Governors within five days while the Collective Bargaining Agreement needs to be finalised in the next 10 days.

Justice Koome however indicated that the court is not scheduled to hold sittings next week, but they will ask the President of Appeals Court to constitute a special bench for Monday’s hearing.

Speaking for the religious leaders, lawyer Peter Gachuhi stated that issues that were ‘stumbling blocks’ to the parties have now been agreed upon.
