BY MIRROR,UK,30TH JAN,2017-People in parts of Brighton, Islington and Bristol are the most likely to have signed the 1.3million strong petition calling for Donald Trump’s state visit to be cancelled.

Some 6,105 people in Brighton Pavilion have signed the petition at last count, which passed one million signatures this morning.

That works out at one person in 18 in Caroline Lucas’s constituency, the highest share in the country.

And one person in 19 in Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s constituency of Islington North have signed it, along with one in 20 in west Bristol.

Other areas where more than 5,000 people each have put their names to the petition include Hornsey and Wood Green, Hackney North and Stoke Newington and Hackney South and Shoreditch.

The petition argues that any state visit to the UK by the new American president would “cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen”.

The total signatures on the petition here stood at 1,351,000 at 4.30pm today and had recorded 31,794 signatures in the past hour.

The petition comes after Mr Trump signed an executive order on Friday which suspended people from seven countries from entering the United States – Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen – for 90 days.

It also suspended the US Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days.

The order caused disruption at American airports over the weekend as affected people found out they were no longer allowed to enter the United States.

The petition is not limited to British citizens – some 5,382 people from the US had signed it at last count, as well as 57 people from the seven countries mentioned in the order.
