BY UPESI NEWS REPORTER,13TH JAN 2017-The National Police Service says it is ready for the August general elections amid rising political temperatures between the ruling Jubilee coalition and the opposition.
Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro says the service will ensure an atmosphere of peace and tranquility prevails.
Speaking at the 2nd biennial Court users Committee conference, Muhoro said police will work with all stakeholders to ensure Kenyans get a chance to exercise their democratic right of voting. He lauded the initiative saying it will go a long way in speeding up the wheels of justice.
On his part, Chief Justice David Maraga said the court users committees will help bring about a fast and fair administrative justice for all Kenyans.
He said that each institution should take responsibility for its performance and the culture of buck-passing must come to an end.
