The Deputy President said it was unfortunate that Opposition leaders were now questioning the choice of Mr Wafula Chebukaiti as the IEBC chairman simply because he hailed from the same County- Trans Nzoia as the IEBC Chief Executive officer Ezra Chiloba who also hails from the same county.
He said Mr Chebukaiti and Mr Chiloba have not been given the opportunity to serve because they hailed from Western but because they were professionals and up to the task.
Elsewhere echoing the deputy president sentiments while officiating several water projects in bumula constituency Bungoma county water cabinet secretary Eugine Wamalwa told off those opposed to the new IEBC commissioners saying every kenyan is supposed to be given equal opportunity in leading this county in whichever capacity they are appointed into. Wamalwa said instead of criticizing the commissioners need support.
