As it is a tradition in Kenya and world over ,during the time of Christmas people throw out anything that would dumpen the spirit of the season which is characterized by merry making and thanksgiving to the lord God Almighty for having offered humanity yet another special moment.
The 2016 christmas and new year celebrations could not have come at a better time for one Beth Marion.Upesi News caught up with her at Naivas supermarket Ronald Ngala Branch In Nairobi, after she worn a full goat and a microwave curtesy of KIKWETU KRISIMASI program run by the giant supermarket chain as a way of rewarding its loyal customers.
But how did Marion find herself so lucky?
There is a price to pay. She informs us that she has been a loyal customer of the retailer for long. She normally spend close to 30 thousand shillings weekly buying goods mainly consumables.’’ i normally frequent this shop twice or thrice a week where I buy mostly unga,sugar cooking fat and vegetables among others that it why my loyalty has been rewarded’’ she told us.
