KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,28TH DEC 2016-A requiem service for the late veteran politician John Keen was held at his karen home in Nairobi on Wednesday .The service was attended by more than 40 church leaders and political leaders from all walks of life and from every part of the country.The retired president Daniel Moi is among those who sent his condolences massage to the family of the alte Keen who died on christmas day at the age of 90.Moi says the country has lost a patriot and committed member of society who always meant well for Kenya.

John Keen having been around in the early days of struggle for the country’s independence has championed for the rights of the Maasai Community and for the rights of the girl child in the same community.
He was on the forefront on safeguarding the maasai land and their sovereignty .
He will be laid to rest at his Namanga home on Friday.
