BY PSCU/KORIR JUMA,25TH DEC,2016-President Uhuru Kenyatta last evening attended Christmas Eve Mass at the Holy Ghost Cathedral in Mombasa where he urged Christians to pray for peace and unity.
The President who was accompanied by his family called for prayers for the nation and greater unity in the country.
Mr Kenyatta wished all Kenyans a Merry Christmas and a successful new year.
“As we celebrate the festive season, let us also continue praying for unity and peace,” President Kenyatta said.
The service was conducted by Archbishop Martin Kivuva of the Mombasa Diocese who also delivered the sermon.
Archbishop Kivuva called for dialogue between the government and opposition ahead of next year’s polls.
He also urged doctors to resume work to ease suffering among patients.
