Nation Media Group through a statement seen by UPESI NEWS has announced that more people are set to lose their jobs.

According to a press statement from the giant media house in the country , the final phase of the strategic reorganization announced earlier this year is finally being implemented.
“We are now reorganizing all our operations across the group to prioritize our resources and investments in content development, monetization and innovation in line with emerging ways that new age consumers are consuming media,” said Clifford Machoka, the head of corporate and regulatory affairs at NMG.
To allow themselves grow their revenue and securing their print and online businesses, NMG will be retrenching more employees.
“These job loses will come as a result of redundancies. We will undertake this process with due respect to our employees and within the provisions of the law,” added Machoka.
Those who lost their jobs following the initial process when the company shut down three of its brands namely Nation FM, QDM and QTV included TV personality Sheila Mwanyiga, veteran journalist Jimmy Gathu, comedian Obinna Ike Igwe and Angela Angwenyi among others.
