Nurses finally agree to end strike

By UPESI NEWS TEAM,NAIROBI DEC 10,2016-After almost a week of agony in public hospitals across the country, there is a ray of hope. This is after the health cabinet secretary Cleopa Mailu said an agreement had been reached on the return to work formula for nurses.The CS who gave a brief statement on the same late Friday promised to reveal more information about the nature of the agreement on Sunday. Early Saturday the Kenya national Union of nurses through it’s secretary general Seth Panyako had said that nurses Will not return to work until all the 47 Governors agrees to sign commitment agreement with nurses the document he said stipulated the terms of service binding nurses, the county government and the national government as well.Panyako also said the document provides avenues on how nurses would still work in hospitals even when there is a general strike.
