BY UPESI NEWS REPORTER,NAIROBI, DEC 9,2016- kenya medical, pharmacists and dentist union board has warned doctors against any attempt to disrupt services in private hospitals starting next Tuesday. In a statement send to upesi news desk and signed by the chairman of the board Professor George Magoha the board has turned down the announcement made Thursday by KMPDU secretary general Dr Ouma Oluga who said that doctors in private hospitals and even those run by religious organizations will join the rest of the doctors in public hospitals in their ongoing strike if the government will not have implemented the 2013 Collective bargain agreement as demanded by the doctors.
Professor Magoha says the announcement goes against the constitution and the principle of medical profession.
He says the decision to shut down private hospitals will deny kenyans their constitutionals right to access treatment. The board further warns that it will not hesitate to take legal action against anybody who is found capable of disrupting services in private hospitals.
