Daadab refugee camp/file
BY UPESI NEWS TEAM,NAIROBI,NOV 16,2016-The Daadab refugee camp will remain open following governments’ decision to extend it’s closure by six months.Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery says the move follows a request from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and other considerations.
Nkaissery says an elaborate repatriation programme will be rolled out next month and has assured that all refugees will be moved out in a humane manner.
Kenya has so far repatriated more than 16,000 refugees to Somalia, with many more still at the camp.
