Over 577000 candidateshave begun sitting their Kenya certificate of secondary education exams this morning countrywide.This is the highest number to be recorded since the year 1989 when the exams were administered for the very first time.Unlike in previous years this year the government has put in stringent measures to ensure no cases of exam irregularities are reported.The Exams begun with the mathematics paper one before other exams are undertaken within the week.some other exams to be undertake include;English,Swahili,home science,and building technologies.The education cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi commissioned the exams at the Muranga county commissioners office where he said the ministry do not anticipate any incident of cheating since necessary measures have been put in place to curb the vice.
